Mocha Latte Recipe
For the chocolate, and whisky (optional) lover!
Time needed - 10 minutes
Tools needed:
- Stirring device (spoon, straw, your finger, etc).
- Espresso machine
- Coffee Grinder
What we can't stand about most Mocha Latte recipes is the fact that they simply use heated half-and-half and call it a "latte". A latte, by definition, requires steamed milk, not lazily heated milk in a sauce pan. You don't walk into Starbucks, order up a latte and get heated milk. No, you get steamed milk. Let's do this right!
Ingredients
- Steamed milk (any milk will do)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup whisky (optional)
- 2 shots espresso
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (or melted chocolate)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Steam your milk using your milk steamer/espresso machine.
- Brew your espresso shots using your espresso machine
- Add espresso to cup.
- Stir in brown sugar and rest of ingredients including whisky if you want.
- Add your steamed milk
- Serve warm (on a cold day)
- Serve cold, over ice (on a hot day)
