Our Take On The Rocket Giotto Type V
*same exact machine internally as the Mozzafiato Type V ($2,100), just a different body style*
Different from the Rocket Espresso Giotto Evoluzione ($2,550), the Type V features a vibratory pump opposed to a rotary. The Type V cannot be plumbed and will be a tad louder than the Evoluzione R during operation. It does, however, have a massive 2.9 liter water reservoir so re-filling your machine will not be a frequent activity! A step up from the Appartamento, the Type V has dual gauges, an insulated boiler and PID temperature control hidden behind the trip tray. For beginners, having that brew pressure gauge is, in our opinion, a big advantage as you'll be able to see your bar count during extraction. This will tell you if you need to tweak your grind, dosage, tamp pressure etc. Something you can't do on the entry-level Appartamento.
Also available in the Mozzafiato body style ($2,050).

Its 1.8 liter heat exchanging and insulated copper boiler paired with a 2.9 liter water reservoir will have you rarely re-filling your machine.
The boiler contains heat exchanging capabilities allowing the user to brew espresso shots and steam milk simultaneously.
Dual pressure gauges are a big upgrade from the Appartamento. View your bar count during extraction to see where you need to tweak your preparation.
Ideal for those wanting more control over their espresso shots than you can with the Appartamento.
PID temperature control equipped. Easily adjust the temperature of your boiler with the simple touch of a button. Hidden behind the drip tray.
