"Prosumer" - an amateur who purchases equipment with quality or features suitable for professional use.
What do I need to create café-quality coffee at home?
A few things:
Your grinder is most likely what's preventing you from creating better coffee at home regardless of how you're preparing it (drip coffee machine, french press, pour over, etc).
It's essential to put a high-quality burr grinder in your kitchen if you want to make better coffee. That's why we typically advise focusing a heavy portion of your overall budget on a grinder and go from there.
Need help? Let us know! That's what we're here for.
Is the coffee made from these things really that much better than typical coffee makers?
In short - yes. And it's not even close.
Ever walked into a café not named Starbucks, Peets, or some other major chain, ordered a latte or cappuccino, had it served to you in an actual porcelain cup without a green straw and enjoyed the heck out of it?
That's what our machines will bring to your very own kitchen. Again - look at the definition of prosumer above.
Think of our products as a commercial espresso machine shrunken down in size to fit in your kitchen. That's exactly what are products are built for.
What makes your products any different than something I can buy on Amazon for much less?
We know our products are expensive. Really, we do.
The reason for this is manufacturing and shipping costs. We're proud to have established relationships with the most respected Italian manufacturers to bring our customers products we know will last decades.
Products purchased on Amazon or at much smaller price points are convenient and economical. We can't deny that. But what they won't do is last you very long. And once it does break, getting it fixed is typically a nightmare we hear about all the time. If you're serious about upping your coffee game at home or owning a machine truly built to last, a prosumer machine is it.
To ease the burden of the price tag, we've partnered with Klarna and SplitIt to offer 0% APR financing on all our products in addition to accepting every payment method available (all major CCs, Amazon Pay, PayPal, Bitcoin).
They look complicated. Is it difficult to learn how to use these machines?
Think of these machines as a craps table in a casino.
If you've never played before, it can certainly be intimidating, right?
But once you know how to play and what each bet means, it becomes much less daunting - and even fun!
There will be a slight learning curve (no longer than a week) in learning how to properly prepare espresso at home. But once you get it - you'll be excited to wake up every morning and make yourself or loved one a delicious cappuccino, latte, americano, whatever your desired drink may be!
Can I come test and play around with one before I buy?
While Cliff & Pebble does not currently have a showroom, we do offer an incredibly generous no-risk 30 day trial on all our products. We even pay the return shipping (something our competitors can't tell you).
