Created in 1961 by, the E61 group head has been a staple of prosumer espresso machines for quite some time. Built for quality and longevity, the E61 group head has been the most used group for one reason - it far exceeds any competitor. Designed by Ernesto Valente, the E61 was first installed on the Faema E61. He named it after the E61 after the solar eclipse of 1961.
