For most home baristas, this is an advanced feature that requires a significant learning curve. The Mara X gives you 95% of what the Bianca does at a $900 lower price point. If you're just getting into prosumer espresso, the Mara X is almost always the right call first.
The Mara X deserves a quality grinder. We recommend the Eureka Mignon Oro, the Turin DF64, or the Lelit Fred for most budgets. The general rule: spend at least 40% of your machine budget on your grinder. Call us at 800-410-8867 for a specific recommendation.
The Mara X reaches operating temperature in approximately 8–10 minutes. Many users set a smart plug timer so the machine is ready when they wake up. The ECO mode also means you can leave it on without worrying about energy waste.
