Acaia makes the scales you'll find on the bar at most specialty cafés, and the rest of its lineup is built with the same obsession with precision. Here's how to choose.

Which Acaia is right for you?

Acaia Lunar: for espresso. A 105 × 105 mm platform that sits on most espresso machine drip trays, a water-resistant anodized aluminum body, 0.1 g readability up to 2 kg, and built-in espresso modes that start and stop the timer for you. If you pull shots, this is the one. See the Lunar
Acaia Pearl: for pour-over. A larger 160 × 160 mm platform that fits a kettle and dripper, 0.1 g readability up to 2 kg, and a real-time flow-rate indicator so you can see how fast you're pouring. See the Pearl
Acaia Pearl Model S: pour-over and espresso. Everything the Pearl does, with a 3 kg capacity and eight built-in modes, including espresso, portafilter, flow-rate and step-by-step brew guides you download from the Acaia app. See the Pearl Model S
Acaia Orbit: single-dose grinder. 64 mm flat burrs, stepless adjustment from espresso to filter, and adjustable motor speed from 600 to 1,500 RPM. Paired with a Lunar, it grinds by weight. See the Orbit
Portafilter dosing cups. The 58 mm cups fit E61 machines like Lelit, Rocket Espresso, Turin and the LUCCA M58. The 53 mm cup fits the LUCCA A53. See the 53 mm cup

Common questions

Lunar or Pearl for espresso?

The Lunar. It's small enough to sit on a drip tray, built to handle splashes, and its espresso modes time your shot automatically. The Pearl is the better pour-over scale. The Pearl Model S can do both if you'd rather own one scale.

Will the Lunar fit on my drip tray?

Most likely. The Lunar measures 105 × 105 mm and is 15.5 mm tall, so it fits the drip trays of most home espresso machines without stealing much cup clearance.
