Fantastic grinder, with variable RPM, grind, and is anti-static. This heavy-duty grinder gives perfect control. My only reservation is that I really wanted the black enamel, but all that was in stock was silver; still, Cliffspebble had the lowest price on the internet and free shipping. Are there better grinders out there? Sure, but you are splitting hairs for two or three times the money, and most features don’t improve the actual grind, which is the goal. The flat grinders are easy to change out and do a fantastic job; this is my dedicated espresso grinder. E

I upgraded to the DF83V from a Fellow Opus grinder and I'm really happy with the change. The grind quality is very even, there is basically no retention, and it's easy to access the burrs for cleaning. All in all, it's been a delightful change to my workflow. Even with a beginner espresso machine (Breville Barista Express) it makes a significant improvement to our shots and has made dialing in light roasts much easier.
C&Cliff & Pebble3 months agoWhat a jump — the Opus is a solid grinder but the DF83V is in a completely different league. Really glad you're feeling that difference, especially on light roasts where grind quality matters most. And honestly, pairing it with the Barista Express is smart — a great grinder will outlast several machines and make every one of them perform better. Enjoy it!
