Do I need a scale for espresso?
It's the most useful accessory you can add. Most recipes are written by weight, such as 18 grams in and 36 grams out, and a scale with a built-in timer lets you hit them every time.
Will a scale fit on my drip tray?
Compact espresso scales like the Acaia Lunar and Turin Mini are made to sit on a drip tray under the portafilter. Larger scales like the Acaia Pearl suit pour-over as well as espresso.
