Turin at Cliff & Pebble

Prosumer performance.
Half the price.

Turin builds espresso machines and grinders that punch well above their price. Not because they cut corners — but because they found a smarter way to manufacture. The result is professional-grade equipment that most serious home baristas can actually afford.

The Turin Story

Italian-inspired.
Engineered smarter.

The name Turin comes from Torino — the Italian city synonymous with precision engineering and espresso culture. The brand pays homage to that heritage while taking a different approach to manufacturing: source the best components, engineer to a professional standard, and produce at scale in a way that keeps prices honest.

When Espresso Outlet launched the DF64 grinder in 2020, the espresso community was skeptical. A 64mm flat burr grinder for under $500? James Hoffmann called it a potential "Niche Killer." The community agreed. Within months it became the most recommended grinder in its price class — and Turin has been building on that reputation ever since.

Today Turin makes grinders from the compact SK40 to the powerful DF83V, and espresso machines from the entry-level Legato to the dual boiler Gallatin series. Every product shares the same philosophy: give serious home baristas professional tools without the professional price tag.

64mm
Flat Burrs

The same burr size found in commercial grinders costing 3–5× more.

0.1g
Retention

Ultra-low retention means every dose is fresh. No stale coffee in your next shot.

58mm

Industry-standard size — same as machines costing $2,000+.

SSP
Upgradeable

Turin grinders accept SSP burr upgrades. Tune your flavor as your palate grows.

The Machine Lineup

Built to Outperform

Four machines. Entry-level to dual boiler. Every one priced at what it should cost — not what the market said it could charge.

Best Entry Point Turin Legato V2 Espresso Machine
Single Boiler

Legato V2

The machine that resets your expectations for what $479 buys.

Dedicated 550ml brew boiler. Separate thermoblock for steam. PID temperature control with a display. Everything you'd find in a $900 machine — heat stability, proper brew temperature, real steam pressure — at a price that makes you question everything you thought you knew about the espresso market.

The Legato is where most serious home baristas should start. Not because it's "good enough" — because it's genuinely excellent. Pair it with a DF64 and you have a setup that outperforms $2,000 rigs.

The Grinder Lineup

The DF64 Started It All

Turin's grinders are the reason the brand exists. The DF64 reset the industry's expectations for what a $399 grinder could do — 64mm flat burrs, single-dose design, under 0.1g retention — and built a following that pushed Turin to create machines worthy of it. Ten grinders. One for every budget and workflow.
