Our Take On The Baratza Encore

"The go-to entry level grinder." Still to this day the Encore is one of the, if not the, most popular home coffee grinder on the market. Thousands are sold every month for a reason - it's a tank. With a 40mm burr set, it's not exactly ideal for espresso but perfect for most brew methods where a coarse grind is required (french press, drip, pour over, etc). What we love about the encore is its everlasting simplicity. Adjusting the burrs is as easy as rotating the sturdy bean hopper (40 grind settings) where grinding simply requires the touch of a button. 

The Encore's 40mm conical burr set will grind for many types of brew. Espresso grinding, however, it not it's forte. Conical burrs excel at producing a consist grind time after time. Adjusting the burrs is simple and quick. Simply turn the hopper to any of the Encore's 40 adjustment settings and grind. Bins container included. Grinding can be a messy process which is why Baratza includes a bins container for you to ground directly into. An automatic timer located on the side of the grinder allows you to simply turn it and let the grinder go for as long as you designate.
