The Libra has a built-in scale beneath the portafilter fork. You set your target dose — say 18 grams — on the touchscreen, and the grinder runs until the portafilter reaches that weight, then stops automatically. The scale samples 40 times per second and cuts power early to account for the grinds still falling after the burrs stop. In practice you'll be within 0.1–0.3g of your target every time.

No — the Libra uses a hopper (300g capacity). It's a grind-by-weight grinder, meaning it doses automatically by weight into your portafilter rather than grinding to a timer. If you prefer single-dose workflow with near-zero retention, look at the Turin DF64 Gen 2.7 or Eureka Mignon Zero instead.

The Libra comes with a 58mm dosing funnel included. A 53mm funnel is also available separately. It works with any standard espresso portafilter.

The Specialita doses by time — you program how many seconds the motor runs and adjust from there. The Libra doses by weight — it stops automatically when your portafilter reaches your target dose. If consistency across different coffees and humidity levels matters to you, the Libra is the more precise choice. The Specialita is a excellent grinder at a lower price for buyers who don't need weight-based dosing.
