The Giotto FAST R delivers everything the Giotto FAST V does — actively heated E61 group, 15-minute heat-up, PID, OLED display, shot timer — with one critical addition: a commercial-grade rotary pump that supports direct plumb-in to your water line. Quieter operation. No tank to refill. For the buyer doing a kitchen renovation, building a dedicated coffee station, or simply wanting the smoothest, most permanent Rocket HX setup available.

FAST Heat-Up

Actively heated E61 group ready to brew in ~15 minutes from cold — vs 25–35 min on traditional HX machines.

Rotary Pump

Quieter than vibratory, reaches extraction pressure faster, and supports direct water line connection.

Plumb-In Capable

Connect directly to your water supply. No tank to refill — ever. Braided water line included.

PID Temperature Control

Smart electronic temperature management hidden behind the drip tray for a clean look.

Integrated Shot Timer

Built into the face of the machine. Consistent extractions, every time.

Handmade in Milan

Every Giotto assembled by Rocket's team of craftsmen. Not a factory line.

Common Questions

Everything you want to know

The R has a rotary pump; the V has a vibratory pump. The rotary pump does three things: it's quieter during operation, it allows direct water line connection so you never refill a tank, and it reaches extraction pressure slightly faster. Aesthetically the only difference is white pressure gauges on the R vs black on the V. If plumb-in capability or quiet operation matters to you, choose the R.
Yes — that's the defining feature of the R models. The rotary pump handles direct water line connection cleanly. The machine comes with a braided water line included. Once plumbed, you eliminate tank refills entirely — ideal for a built-in coffee station or kitchen renovation.
Internally identical — same 1.8L HX boiler, same FAST actively heated E61 group, same rotary pump, same PID, same shot timer, same plumb-in capability. The difference is purely design and width. The Giotto is 340mm wide with asymmetric angular panels; the Mozzafiato is 314mm wide with flat beveled panels — 26mm narrower. Choose based on counter space and which design speaks to you.
Different machines for different buyers. The TCA is compact (270mm wide) with TCA temperature presets — and it cannot be plumbed in. The Giotto FAST R is wider (340mm) with angular asymmetric design and full plumb-in capability via its rotary pump. We sell both — call us at 800-410-8867 and we'll help you decide.
The Eureka Mignon Specialita ($649) is our top recommendation. The Rocket Faustino grinder is also an ideal match if you want to keep everything in the Rocket family. For a budget-conscious pairing, the Turin DF64 Gen 2 ($399) delivers excellent value. Call us at 800-410-8867 for a specific recommendation.
365 days — the longest return window in the espresso industry. If the Giotto FAST R isn't right for you within a full year, we'll take it back or help you upgrade. We cover return shipping on exchanges. Every machine includes Rocket's full 3-year parts and labor warranty, handled through our Chicago team directly.
