At 12.4" wide — an inch narrower than the Giotto FAST R — it delivers the same FAST actively heated E61 group, rotary pump, direct water line connection, and 15-minute heat-up in the smallest Rocket HX footprint available. The R has a rotary pump; the V has a vibratory pump. The rotary pump does three things: it's quieter during operation, it allows direct water line connection so you never refill a tank, and it reaches extraction pressure slightly faster. Aesthetically the only difference is white pressure gauges on the R vs black on the V. If plumb-in or quiet operation matters to you, choose the R.
