The Giotto FAST is the evolution of the very first model Rocket ever brought to market — reimagined with refined proportions and FAST heat-up technology. An actively heated E61 group with an embedded heating element and temperature probe gets the machine brew-ready in approximately 15 minutes from cold. Once there, the thermosiphon takes over to maintain stability exactly as before. Same iconic Giotto asymmetric angular design. Genuinely faster.

FAST Heat-Up

Actively heated E61 group ready to brew in ~15 minutes from cold — vs 25–35 min on traditional HX machines.

Heat Exchanger

1.8L insulated HX boiler lets you brew and steam simultaneously without waiting.

PID Temperature Control

Smart electronic temperature management hidden behind the drip tray for a clean look.

Integrated Shot Timer

Built into the face of the machine. Consistent extractions, every time.

OLED Display

Clear, modern interface for temperature and machine status at a glance.

Handmade in Milan

Every Giotto assembled by Rocket's team of craftsmen. Not a factory line.

Common Questions

Everything you want to know

FAST refers to Rocket's actively heated E61 group — a new embedded heating element and temperature probe in the group head itself that gets the machine to brewing temperature in approximately 15 minutes from cold, compared to 25–35 minutes for traditional E61 HX machines. Once at temperature, the thermosiphon takes over to maintain stability exactly as before. It's a genuine engineering upgrade, not a marketing name.
One key difference: the pump. The V uses a vibratory pump and runs from an internal 2.5L water tank only. The R uses a quieter rotary pump and can be connected directly to your water line for permanent installation. Aesthetically, the V has black pressure gauges and the R has white — that's the only visual tell from the outside. If you're not planning to plumb in, the V is the right call.
Different machines for different buyers. The TCA is compact (270mm wide) with TCA temperature presets and the iconic circular side panel design. The Giotto FAST is wider (340mm) with asymmetric angular side panels — the original Rocket design. Heat-up times are similar. The choice comes down to design preference and counter space. We sell both — call us at 800-410-8867 and we'll help you decide.
Internally identical — same 1.8L HX boiler, same FAST actively heated E61 group, same vibratory pump, same PID, same shot timer. The difference is design and width. The Giotto is 340mm wide with asymmetric, three-dimensional angular panels. The Mozzafiato is 314mm wide with flat beveled panels — 26mm narrower. If counter space is tight, the Mozzafiato wins. If you want the bolder, more architectural Rocket look, that's the Giotto.
The Eureka Mignon Specialita ($649) is our top recommendation — precise, quiet, and a perfect aesthetic pairing. The Rocket Faustino grinder is also an ideal match if you want to keep everything in the Rocket family. For a budget-conscious pairing, the Turin DF64 Gen 2 ($399) delivers excellent value. Call us at 800-410-8867 for a specific recommendation based on your workflow and budget.
365 days — the longest return window in the espresso industry. If the Giotto FAST V isn't right for you within a full year, we'll take it back or help you upgrade. We cover return shipping on exchanges. Every machine also includes Rocket's full 3-year parts and labor warranty, handled through our Chicago team directly.
